I Ride for Aven Fundraiser
Join us for a fun ride from 1 - 2:30 PM and fundraising event with amazing online auction items from 1 - 5 PM.
Friends of the Elsberg family are hosting a bike ride and silent auction at RMU on October 7 to raise funds for Aven’s future needs. Any contribution, big or small, will make a significant impact on the success of our fundraiser.
Aven Elsberg is an 18-year-old talented mountain biker, freeride skier, and all-around great kid who unfortunately suffered a severe spinal cord injury at the C5 level on August 3 riding his home trails in Whistler, BC.
He is facing a long recovery and inpatient then outpatient rehab process with significant equipment and caregiver needs as he eventually transitions from the inpatient to outpatient setting.
Online registration deadline: 1pm on the day of the ride. Please note that there is no registration at the event - you must register online before the deadline. There is also a registration limit of 150 riders.
You will need to save a screenshot of your registration confirmation on your phone and show this at the end of the ride to obtain your food and drink tickets for the après. Click here if you need full instructions about how to do this.
A WORCA membership is required to register for this event. WORCA is covering the registration and insurance costs associated with running the event.
There is a free one-day membership available for this event if you do not have a 2023 WORCA membership. Select the ‘I Ride for Aven single day membership’ option after clicking on the Register button above.
Registration fee is $20 + GST and all funds received will be donated to the fundraiser. Registration includes the ride plus food and drinks at the après.
