2024 WORCA Sponsorship Opportunities
WORCA has the following sponsorship opportunities available for 2024:
Corporate Membership
Offering discounts to WORCA members
General Sponsorship
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please email our Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, Chloe Hajjar, at chloe@worca.com and cc trevor@worca.com. For Toonie Rides and the Women’s Enduro, please also cc toonies@worca.com. For the Back Forty, please cc events@worca.com and for Trail Nights, please cc trails@worca.com.
Corporate Membership
This is the easiest way to become a Bronze level Sponsor with a $500 contribution, or to reach a higher sponsorship category if you already have other contributions.
Then email trevor@worca.com to obtain codes for 10 WORCA memberships to be distributed to your staff.
Toonie Rides
For 2024 we are planning to run a full schedule of in-person Toonie Rides as well as some Virtual Toonie Rides, starting in May and running through to October (weather permitting).
Toonie Rides: These in-person events have 3 sponsor categories per event:
Course (setting course signage and providing course marshals)
Apres (venue, along with food and beverage)
Prizing (participant prize draws).
Please indicate the Sponsor Category (or categories) you are interested in, along with any date-hosting considerations you would like WORCA to be aware of.
Virtual Toonie Rides: These virtual events require no onsite commitment. Virtual Toonies give sponsors the opportunity to get involved by providing Prizing (participant prize draws) or an Apres Deal.
Trail Nights
We will be running our volunteer trail nights on Tuesdays from spring through to fall, with a break in mid-summer. At the start of the season we will be working on completing the new Flashback trail in Cheakamus, and are expecting to move on to some other projects later in the summer and fall.
The cost to sponsor each trail night is $750. This covers the cost of paying our trail crew employees to plan and manage the trail nights as well as the cost of food and drinks for the volunteers. The number of volunteers will be limited to a maximum of 30 per trail night.
WORCA will organize everything, including purchasing and preparing the food and drinks for volunteers.
The Back Forty
Saturday, June 8, 2024. This is the fourth year for this event and we already reached the 250 registration limit last month, so we have increased the limit to 300 racers to allow more people to sign up.
The sponsorship levels for the Back Forty are as follows: Title $8,000, Presenting $5,000, Hero $2,000, Legend $1,000.
The Witsend
Saturday, September 14, 2024. Last year was the first year for our women's enduro race and it was a huge success so we expect it to be even more popular this year!
Many of our 2023 sponsors are returning but we will also have space for some new sponsors for 2024.
Offering discounts to WORCA members
If you are a local business that can offer discounts to WORCA members, please let us know!
We will promote your business in the Member Discounts section on our website as well as in our newsletter and social media posts. All WORCA members have access to an online membership card in their Amilia account, so they can show this as proof to obtain discounts.
General Sponsorship
If you would like your logo to appear on our Sponsors website page, you can reach the different categories by a combination of the different sponsorship options (calculate the total value of your contribution for Toonies/Trail Nights/Special Events and let us know) and/or by making a separate cash donation. For sponsors that provide in-kind contributions, a minimum cash contribution of $500 is required for Silver level sponsorship or higher.
We promote our sponsors through our website, newsletters and social media channels and we can work on specific details with each individual sponsor.
If you have any questions about any of the sponsorship opportunities, please get in touch with us. We are looking forward to working with you to make 2024 a successful year for the trails and our community!
