The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position:
Former BDO Manager, worked in NPO space including working on compilation, review, and audit engagements. Familiar with the Societies Act and filing of T2s. Currently the controller for Bella Coola Heli Sports and experienced in budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation and full cycle accounting.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board:
I work a 90% schedule with Bella Coola Heli Sports so I can have one additional "fun day" every two weeks! I do not work much overtime so have capacity in the evenings / weekends and have a fairly flexible schedule. I am interested in WORCA because I love mountain biking, I think it is a great community organization, it is a very well run organization, and I would like to volunteer with an organization / society that I can relate to / am passionate about!

The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position:
I feel that I have many skills and experiences that would make me a good candidate for this position. I have been a WORCA member for many years and attend the majority of the WORCA events so I understand the kinds of events/activities WORCA organizes. As well, I am a teacher in the community and am very organized and efficient in the work I do. Even though I do not have formal training as a secretary, I have attended many meetings in my own job and have seen how the minutes have been organized.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board:
I am aware of the commitment to this role and understand the time involved. I would like to be on the WORCA Board as I want to contribute to its involvement in the cycling community and to give back some of my time for all the work that goes into building this amazing trail network.

The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position:
Being a member of the WORCA Board, I would provide input, planning and support for the local Toonie rides and mtb community in general. In my professional career I assist local businesses with their banking, lending and investment solutions, but my passion and hobby is mountain biking and I would like to assist WORCA and give back to the community. I have participated in many WORCA Toonie rides as well as Phat Wednesday races, so I am familiar with how local mtb events are run and I also have previous board experience with the Pemberton Chamber of Commerce. I have been a WORCA member and lived and worked in Whistler since 2013.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board:
I am flexible with when I can volunteer my time, usually any time after 5pm on weekdays and weekends.
