[heading]Trails report May 25th[/heading]It's been a great start to the trail building season. Tim Haggerty, Dan Raymond and Zander Strathearn have kept things on track and led some great volunteer days. With this rain most trails are clear.Building is about to start on the Alpine Dream trail above the flank on Sproat! Our inaugural trail day is slated for Saturday June 7 from 9 until 3pm Meeting on West Side rd just above Nita Lake. Sponsored by local biking tour company Bear Back Biking, we will be hiking up for a full day of building. Food and some beverages will be provided but bring plenty of water, long protective clothes and tools if you have some. We are relying on volunteer support heavily for the construction of this trail!Whistler Blackcomb are offering up a Bike Park day pass for every two trail days put in up there. Plus we have plenty of support from local businesses and we plan to have some great prizing for our loyal and awesome volunteers! Come out and join lead builder Dan Raymond and Zander Strathearn learn about sustainable trail building.May25TrailDayReport1So far this season volunteers have built some re-routes on Danimal Middle to make climbing south more friendly. It also rides well as a fun alternative descent northwards. Check it out if you haven't already :-)Tuesday 27th trail night is postponed to Tuesday June 3 meeting at the top of Beaver Pass at 5:30 pm to start work on A Cut Above.We've been on the hunt for more sponsors.
