2021 Call for Nominations for the Board of Directors
The 2021 WORCA AGM will be on September 30th and there will be several positions up for election. We will be searching for people to fill the following vacant board positions:
Director of Advocacy (one year term). Somebody who will help to advance WORCA’s efforts to promote and increase equity, diversity and inclusion for trail use.
Race Director (one year term). To plan and coordinate Toonie Rides.
Secretary (two-year term). Ideally somebody with previous board experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Governance, HR, Communications, Law.
Other positions up for election, with the current directors seeking re-election, are as follows: Vice President (two-year term), Trails (one-year term), Events (one-year term).

Nominations must be submitted in advance. Your submission will be shared with members at least two weeks before the AGM so that they have time to consider information about all applicants before they vote at the AGM.

Your name and the position(s) you are running for.
The skills/experience that make you a strong candidate for the position.
Your capacity to commit to a volunteer role, and why you are interested in being on the WORCA Board.
Full names of two current WORCA members who support your nomination.
In order to apply to become a director, you must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:
Be a current WORCA member in good standing
Be at least 18 years of age
Capable of managing your own affairs
Are not undergoing bankruptcy
Have not been convicted of fraud or a corporate offence within the last five years
