Covid-19: Changes to WORCA events and programs

Changes required due to Covid-19

Given the difficult times that we find ourselves in with the current Covid-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to make some difficult decisions regarding WORCA's events and programs. After careful consideration of the information available, including an order from the Province that prohibits events or operations with more than 50 people up to May 30th, the following changes will be implemented:

Youth Camps

Spring Camps: We will not be running the after school camps scheduled for May and June. If things change and it becomes possible to run some camps in June, we will let you know what we can provide.

Summer Dirt Camps: We still plan to run the Dirt Camps in July and August and know how important these are to local parents. Registration will open as planned on April 4th at 9:00 a.m., however we understand that these are difficult times and we will be accepting a 25% deposit instead of full payment at the time of booking. The 75% balance will be due by May 31st. The link to register will be on the Youth Camps page.

ZEP/WORCA Youth Enduro Development Program

ZEP Racing and WORCA are now ready for season 2 of this program for local youth riders seeking to train and race enduro.  The application process is now open.  This year we will be selecting up to 12 kids aged 13-15.  Full details and application information are on Enduro Development Team page.

Bike Swap and Open House

This will not be taking place on April 4th and we will inform everyone if we are able to run this at a later date.

The Back Forty

We will be postponing this event to the fall. New date TBD. We are hoping that everyone who has already registered will decide to keep their registration. You will receive an email with more details if you have already registered.

Toonie Rides and Trail Nights

We are currently working on the schedules for Toonie Rides and Trail Nights and we will work with sponsors to modify plans as required.

We will continue to monitor the information about the Covid-19 pandemic and we will adapt as required. Updates will be communicated through our newsletter, website and social media channels.
