[heading]Public comment period for South Chilcotin Mountains Park plan closes May 22[/heading]BC Parks is preparing management plans for nine protected areas in the Lillooet area. The provincial parks in the area were newly designated or enlarged. The South Chilcotin Mountains Park (previously named Spruce Lake Protected Area) and Big Creek Park plan is currently open for public comment and closes on May 22, 2016. At this stage in the management planning process BC Parks are looking for feedback on the final draft management plan for several areas. The revised draft management plan is presented for a final public review before moving forward in the approval process.
