LOTS ride 2.0

Well that was fun! We lucked out with perfect weather for our annual “Lord of the Squirrels” ride and party. I’ve included some pictures for those of you not already following #lordofthesquirrels on instagram.

Emergency repairs

I eat a special proprietary blend of Mini Wheats, Muesli, Cheerios, dark chocolate, dried fruit, seeds and nuts to fuel my forest time. I eat at my computer and start my day reading the latest trailforks.com trail reports. This is where YOU the trail users can submit feedback on trail conditions or concerns. It helps guide where the trail crew is heading next (along with what we’ve seen ourselves in the field). Last week, trailforks user “Dogride” published a report about “get over it” with great photos that brought this trail to the top of our priority list. We’ve replaced the worst bridge and will continue the renovation in the coming weeks. Thanks for being our eyes and ears out there!

“How much d’you bench?”

Tuesday Dig Nights kicked off again this week. We’ve benched out another 120 metres of the new “Yummy Numby” singletrack bypass. Tony and Todd sure know how to treat the diggers! The efforts were rewarded with pies and the freshest brews out of Function Junction, courtesy of Slopeside Supply and Cascade Environmental. This week we’re going back to the lower Sproatt zone. We’re going to add another segment of singletrack to the Dessert platter! I’d love for this section to be ready for the West Side Wheel-up...  Meeting point is the top of “Danimal North” in Stonebridge @ 5:30 . Zep Techniques will provide nutrients (Beer and snacks) for those who dig.See you on the trails!
