Whistler Tourism Study to research mountain biking
Whistler Tourism Study to research mountain biking
Tourism Whistler is embarking on a research project on mountain biking. The project will be led by Tourism Whistler and will involve appropriate partners, including WORCA. The project plan is still being developed, however the overall aim of the project will be to understand more about the mountain bikers in Whistler including who they are, what they are riding and what they are looking for. The study will address a number of objectives including the importance of mountain biking as an economic driver for the resort, mountain biker behaviours and demographics, and increased understanding of the product and it’s potential. The research will be conducted throughout the summer, and will be used for future planning and development.
WORCA's Involvement
WORCA has been invited by Tourism Whistler to collaborate and to help provide valuable feedback into the study. To date we have met with Tourism Whistler staff on several occasions to discuss the survey in detail and to outline our wish list of objectives that we would like to see the study achieve. We’re excited to be a part of such an important study and look forward to reviewing the results this fall.
